Matt Sebesta is a life
long resident of Brazoria County with the last 41 years in Angleton.
Matt is the oldest of six children born
to Leonard Sebesta and Pauline Bonneau Sebesta of Angleton: Pat, 239th
District Court Judge; Paul, operator Conoco-Phillips; Tim, Associate Professor,
Kinesiology at Cy-Fair College; Suzanne Dellinger, 4th grade teacher;
Julie Tally, teacher staying at home to raise 3 children.
Matt is a graduate of
Angleton High School and Texas A&M University with a degree in Civil
Engineering. Matt is a Licensed
Professional Engineer and a Registered Professional Land Surveyor.
Matt is currently serving his 3rd
term as Mayor of Angleton. Matt
served on the Planning and Zoning Commission from 1990 through May of 1993 and
City Council from 1993 through 2002.
In 1996, Matt was appointed to the Regional Resource Commission by
Governor George W Bush and later as Chairman of the Regional Resource Commission
in 1998 by Governor Bush, a position he continues to hold today.
Matt and his wife Monica
have been married for 20 years and have 2 sons, Joshua 16 and Ryan 12.
The family attends St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Danbury.
