    As a result of living in Pearland's Extra-Territorial Jurisdiction ("ETJ"), our community has no representation on Pearland's City Council.  Can anyone say Southfork/Magnolia?  We need a strong leader at the County level (Precinct #2) to make our voices heard.  I would encourage everyone to vote for Matt Sebesta for County Commissioner (Precinct #2).  Matt is a proven leader that will represent our community well.

    In my opinion, Matt Sebesta is the clear choice for County Commissioner for precinct 2.  I've talked with Matt twice while he was out here in Silverlake listening to what the residents of our community had to say and what issues are important to us.  I was amazed at Matt's familiarity with the issues our community faces and his knowledge of how to get us what we need.  There wasn't one issue I brought up that Matt hadn't already educated himself on and started thinking of a plan on how to address it.

    One of the critical roles for the County Commissioner's Court is to work with the State to ensure that the State provides the support needed for this county to handle our explosive growth.  Matt has, and continues to, work with our State government on a variety of issues, including how to improve 288 to keep up with the growing
transportation needs of our community.  I also appreciate the value of Matt's training as a civil engineer to the Commissioner's Court in dealing with transportation, drainage, and other facilities matters.

    CBSN has endorsed Matt Sebesta for Precinct 2 County Commissioner.  He has consistently demonstrated that he understands the issues that affect our neighborhood.  Matt was a valued advisor to our committee as we sought to understand the workings of Brazoria County politics.

The Angleton Observer, Angleton and Danbury

    I recommend Matt Sebesta as the best candidate for Brazoria County Commissioner Precinct 2.  Two things impressed me about Sebesta, over and above his skills and obvious gift of gab.  The first thing is, he knows his numbers.  He knows the top and bottom line on everything in the City of Angleton.  The mayor's position in Angleton has sometimes been not much more than an honor bestowed on a popular citizen, but he has been extremely effective as mayor of our rapidly changing and growing community.

    The second thing is his commitment to winning the race. There are few candidates, if any, on the ballot, who have put almost everything on the line.   Sebesta took a long unpaid leave of absence from his job, and he and his wife, Monica Sebesta, who is also his campaign manager, have put their personal lives on hold while campaigning in every available venue. That's a lot of rubber chicken lunches and dinners and a lot of long days. Maybe when the race is over he can make it up to her with almost unlimited visits to Giovanni's, at least for a week or two.

    Matt was highly supportive of CBSN's efforts to stop the Southfork Thoroughfare.  He heard of our plight here, knew that we were frustrated and had little support from any local elected officials,  so he sought us out to offer help. 

    Matt's advice was invaluable - he educated us on the history and personalities involved in Brazoria County politics and helped us to form a strategy on how to best reach out to those most able to help and how to broker an agreement between all the different parties.

    Without Matt's help, I doubt we'd have accomplished anything but making a lot of people mad!

    Matt Sebesta is by far the best qualified candidate for Brazoria County Commissioner Prescient 2.   When I found Jim Clawson was no longer running, I decided to check on all the candidates running for Brazoria County Commissioner 2.  Matt Sebesta amazed me with his accomplishments and still a young man. A Graduate Civil Engineer of Texas A & M, who worked five years as an Engineer after graduation, then passed the test to become a Professional Engineer, to continue his chosen profession.  His time spent on the City Council and then Mayor of Angleton. All while being a devoted husband and father to two great sons. I called Matt and asked if I could help him in the Manvel area. While introducing him I listened to his answers to various questions asked by citizens and I was amazed at his responses. His answers were quick and to the point. I wish Matt were my neighbor in Manvel but since he is not I will not hold it against him. I think Matt Sebesta is going to make us an excellent Commissioner. One that we can be proud of at a time when Brazoria County needs our best.  MATT SEBESTA is the BEST.

    Early on, I have supported Matt Sebesta in his run for office and I still do. He has shown from day one of his campaign true dedication to all residents of Precinct 2 including those in Pearland and has spent a great deal of time up here and will continue do so both before and after the initial primary campaign. 

    I was careful after making my personal endorsement early to back off to listen to what other candidates have said. I still stand firm in my support. Many feel that for Pearland to be best represented, the candidate must be FROM Pearland. I believe the race is more than that. It is about who we feel can best work with the other commissioners to make things happen for us. Of the announced candidates, Matt best exemplifies this. He also understands to gain and retain this elected position he has to have the support and work with the citizens in Northern Brazoria County on their needs. Just being FROM somewhere doesn't necessarily make you the best candidate.

    I believe Matt's qualifications in city government, regional planning, engineering and history of long-time residency in Brazoria
County along with his family's long history public service shows he'll make a great representative for us.  He also impresses me as someone that can bring groups together.
